This is one of the best book I've ever read! I am amazed at how creative this author's mind works! How does he come up with all this stuff!??? When the main character falls asleep, he wakes up in another reality. At first it's difficult to figure out what's going on but you soon assimilate. So entertaining, edge-of-your-seat suspense, inventive, intriquing...I could go on and on! I read it to my husband on a really long road trip we had a couple weeks ago and it made the time fly by! I only wish that the audio book wasn't so expensive because that would have been easier on my voice! Even though my throat was super dry from reading aloud, I just couldn't stop reading and what was amazing to me is my husband loved it just as much as me (and that's saying a lot!). He is on the last book and I'm about to finish the 2nd book (he's on White & I'm still on Red). He hardly EVER reads books--they have to be exceptional and this one is! It's addicting for sure! You won't be able to put it down!

Author Ted Dekker offers an interesting premise in his Circle Trilogy (Black/Red/White) -- that a man can alternate between the present and the future through his dreams and influence one reality by his actions in the other. The series is also a fascinating Biblical allegory. The final book, White, is the best of the three, because it explains clearly in the finale most of the unanswered questions Dekker raises in this thought-provoking series. For fans of fantasy, speculative fiction, and Christian literature, it's a real treat. It's smart writing with undertones that make you think. The story is a bit melodramatic at times and lags in places, and it's difficult to keep the multitude of characters straight because some lack depth or disappear and reappear at different points in the trilogy. You also have to suspend belief when Dekker writes about how politics in Washington and foreign governments work. It's not the way geopolitics works. All in all, it's a trilogy worth reading. I recommend buying the 3-in-1 book and read all three together (or the 4-in-1 book that includes the 4th book, Green). I gave the first two books, Black and Red, four stars primarily because at times they leave the reader confused about names, places, events, and how they relate to the Biblical allegory. In the end, though, Dekker redeems himself with a solid ending.

I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend. The story was intriguing, keeping me hooked from the beginning to the end. In some ways, it reminded me of the Chronicles of Narnia, another of my favorites. My only issue was with the formatting on my Kindle. Since it is in the Topaz format, I couldn't change the font typeface, etc. Also, the icons or whatever they are that start the first line of a new section would NEVER be completely drawn, leaving me to have to puzzle a bit to figure out what it said -- there were even some leftover pixels between some words within the paragraphs [for example at location 12358]. These formatting problems definitely interfered with my reading enjoyment. If this was in the normal Kindle format, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my friends. As it is, I'd suggest that they wait until it is, or just buy the paper books.Amazon should state in their description that a book is in Topaz format!

I have never read anything by Tom Dekker before and I am not crazy about so called Christian authors. I am a catholic, but don't need present day authors to give me additional dosage of faith. I've tried once 'Left behind' books but stopped on the second part. However, what Mr. Dekker is doing in his trilogy is so fascinating, so exhilarating and so combustive, that I am planning to change my mind a bit and read more of his books.I am not going to repeat here anything about the plot and main characters. Others have already given justice to that. I just wanted simply to pay homage to Mr. Dekker for such an innovative and thrilling story where political thriller meshes with Armageddon story and interlaces proportional views on faith and common goodness in humanity and mankind.I also wanted to let other know that I am reading this book on iPhone using Kindle app, and I am having so much fun with the device and software (reading mostly on Subway and in waiting rooms), that I am planning to download more books to my iPhone. The reading is easy during the day and at night, and if you read for an hour you're not straining your eyes at all, although I am not sure whether there are any long-term side effects affecting the vision doing so.In any case, I thought this book was one of the best I have ever read, and I could easily compare it (in terms of my excitement) to Tolkien's LOTR, Asimov's Robots or old classics by Mark Twain or Kipling.

I enjoyed this book beacouse there was something joyful, sometimes so painfully true, and it all was deepo, but edgy!!! You got the action and adventure, romance, christian view, AND the joy of feeling like it was the first time you read the story. I honestly couldn't see the big picture until the end really! I would recommend this to everyone, especially trhoose who like a twisting, good, romantic, action story with a great deal to ponder. I'm 14 and I LOVE💖💖💖 this book!!!!

I purchased Green a couple of months ago and finally started reading it a month ago. Once I started I could not put it down. Once I was done with it I had to find out the rest of the story or should I say, the beginning of the story. I purchased the Circle Trilogy 2 weeks ago and have been non-stop reading since. Ted Dekker weaves a tale of good versus evil, past, future and present and ties it all together. There were times of contemplation, times of sorrow, times of joy, and times of fear for my new favorite book characters. Ted Dekker made me think about the way we treat others that are different than us. He made me think about the important things in life like love, truth, courage, friendship, and faith. I am a new, sold on Dekker fan! Time to figure out what to read next! LOL!!
